Recidivist IV - Zak Sally

20.00

Zak Sally is easily one of our favorite creators. Between his musical work in The Hand (oh, and he was in Low for 11 years), teaching new cartoonists how to do the thing at MCAD, running his own incredible small press (La Mano 21),   working on what appears to be an insanely good graphic novel about Philip K. Dick, he occasionally finds time to put out an issue of Recidivist.

Issue #4 came out a couple years ago, and will knock your socks off. It comes with a CD of music/noise/sounds, all of which were created by Zak. He drew everything, printed everything, stapled everything - this is one of the most legitimately DIY projects ever undertaken. It's dark, it's funny, it's above all intense, and it's something you should own.

In true Zak fashion, he refused to say how many copies he created, because while he's proud of his object d'art, he tends to balk at the false bs of 'limited/rare' in the indie comics scene. EVERY self published comic is limited and rare, without a number attached to it. You never know when this think will go out of print, and we got 10 to sell on our site. So, scoop it up while you can.
