Dear Secret Admirer,

We'll say it. We've got a crush on you too. At Kilgore's, we're really excited to be a community fixture. Whether it's through carrying local comics and zines, hosting cool events, or promoting local political issues, we're just glad to be here.

Part of that philosophy means we'll rely on you as much as you rely on us for your reading fixes (and let's face it booklovers, it's an addiction and you know it). Honestly, we don't have a bunch of money. Up until we opened the shop, Luke worked at Cap Hill Books, and Dan's been in the non-profit sector for thirteen years. We can't really afford to run fancy ads, and what's more, we don't want to. We think we're a kick*ss bookshop, and think you will too - and hopefully you'll tell your friends about this great new bookshop down in Cap Hill.

Beyond telling your friends, a great way to help is to write up a review! We were flattered to read a lovely review from a woman and her daughter in Denver at Yelp! If you've been into the shop, write one too!

You can also add a review at the Google page. All the kids are crazy bout Google.

Bring us your stuff! Do you publish a zine? Crank out a comic? Sribble down poems and prose? Bring it in! We're excited to showcase all the wonderfully creative things happening in the Queen City.

Bring us your books! Kilgore's buys books, and does trades 7 days/week. Bring in your stuff for cold hard cash, or warm fuzzy store credit. Please don't be offeneded if you bring some stuff we can't use - we're small, so have to be pretty picky. It doesn't mean we don't like you or think less of you.

Tell us your ideas. Everyone has wanted to own a bookstore. Feel free to bombard Dan and Luke with ideas that could make the place better! Do we need a disco ball? Homemade brownies? Let us know!

And lastly, Secret Admirer, let us know how we're doing. We're not businessment by trade, just by accident. If we do something wrong, or could do something better, let us know, and we'll do our best to make it better. If there's an author you'd like to see on our shelves, tell us, and we'll do our best to track some down.
